Golang Job: Software Engineer

Hello, I have an exciting opportunity as a Senior Software Engineer for one of the largest gaming companies in the country! This is a 12+ month contract where you would be supporting PST hours from anywhere in the US!

Job Title: Software Engineer

Duration: 12+ months

Key responsibilities:

• Build scalable, high-volume, high-availability systems, with a focus on delivering player value.

• Contribute to evolve system architecture to deliver business needs.

• Participate in development of new features and defect resolution on existing applications, as well as assist with scoping and designing new product initiatives.

• Work with large volumes of data in both relational and NoSQL data stores.

• Working closely with our Data Scientist group, Game teams and other development teams.

• Participate in software development best practices and patterns.

• Coach and mentor junior developers.

Player Profile

• Proven experience in a software engineering/development and design of large-scale distributed systems.

• Strong Programming skills and proficiency in languages like Java, Python, C#, Golang or similar.

• Hands-on experience with high-volume consumer facing API.

• Analytical problem solving and decision-making skills.

• Strong capability in working with NoSQL databases (Bigquery, Cassandra, or similar)

• Experience with data pipelines such as Kafka.

• Self-starter who is excited about learning new technologies. Ability to work independently, learn quickly and be proactive

• Experience with GCP, Data Bricks a plus.

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Required Skills: Python or Java 8 (or higher), Database management, nosql, api, (big query or cassandra)
Basic Qualification: 3 or 4+ years, Bachelor's Degree (Computer Science preferred)
